how do i join the girls chorus?
Treble Choir is for those girls who are just starting to sing in their head voice and need basic music reading training. They sing in two concerts per year. Most girls ages 7-9 fall into this category. Concert Choir is for those girls who have graduated from the Treble Choir or have similar music abilities. They learn to sing in parts, learn how to sing in new and different languages, and will begin to increase their music reading skills. They sing in 3-4 concerts per year and are eligible to tour. Most girls ages 9-16 fall into this category. Select Ensemble is for those girls who exhibit the highest level of maturity, blend & balance, and reading capabilities. They sing in 3 and 4 parts, continue to explore new languages, and fine-tune their music reading skills. They sing in 3-4 major concerts per year, 3-4 run-out concerts, and are eligible for tour. Some girls 12-18 fall into this category.

The first step is to call or email Director Joel Snyder to set up an interview. Please fill out the audition form found here and bring it with you to the interview. The interview process will be held at The Music Center and take approximately 15 minutes. Led by Mr. Snyder, each girl will sing a variety of vocal exercises, read & clap some rhythms, and sing a song on her own. Most girls will be accepted and will have earned her place in one of three ensembles: Treble, Concert, or Select.
