ars voce after dark - "Love & Chocolate" Saturday, February 18, 7:30pm
AV After Dark is a cabaret fundraiser featuring a program of music given by the choral ensemble, Ars Voce, with musical themes dealing with the various aspects of love. Delicious desserts will also be featured (including chocolate). The program has been an hit with audiences for the past two years, but tickets are limited. The program is to be given at the Music Center (on the campus of Kellogg Community College) on Saturday, February 18th, at 7:30PM. Tickets for the fundraiser are $25, and can be obtained by calling 964-3167, by members of the ensemble, or by stopping by the Music Center. Ars Voce is Battle Creekâs premier a capella vocal ensemble, and has developed a loyal following over the past 13 years. Tours of the ensemble have included Stratford, Ontario, cathedrals in England, and, most recently, a tour of Normandy and Paris. Ars Voce is a member of the Music Center of South Central Michigan.

Dr. Mark Wells is the director of Ars Voce.
A native of Kentucky, he received his music education at the Universtiy
of Louisville School of Music and the Cincinnati College Conservatory
of Music. A cofounder of Ars Voce in 1999, he also serves the Battle
Creek area as Music Assistant of the Battle Creek Boychoir and
Girls' Chorus, accompanist for the Battle Creek Community Chorus,
keyboardist with the Battle Creek Symphony, and Music Associate
at St. Philip Catholic Church.
