Mr. Brooks Grantier, Music Director

Brooks Grantier, Music Director of the Battle Creek Boychoir, has been associated with choirs of young men throughout his professional career, first with the well-known Boys Town Choir, in the 1970’s, and since its founding in 1980, with the Battle Creek Boychoir.

Mr. Grantier is a native of Minot, ND, and holds degrees in music education and organ performance from Minot (ND) State University, and from the University of Colorado, Boulder. Mr. Grantier is a Fellow of the American Guild of Organists, and serves also as Director of Music at Trinity Episcopal Church, Marshall, MI
Under Mr. Grantier’s direction, the Battle Creek Boychoir has performed widely in the United States and Canada, and internationally in England, Europe, Australia, and Japan.

Mr. Grantier is an active composer, with works in performance by The Battle Creek Girls’ Chorus, Ars Voce, and by the Boychoir.
Mr. Grantier’s wife Wanza is music assistant and accompanist for the Boychoir. They have three grown children, Charles, Marguerite, and Elise.
